U guys should really look into riverhead for a destination .... Treasure cove .... Great place

I also heard good things about Treasure Cove, but have been told that there have been safety concerns in the past, but most have been resolved. The nearby neighborhood that was the issue is on a rebound. Is this true? Can you walk to the Aquarium?

Been going to Treasure cove for 4 years. We are there for a month. Neverhad an issue...

U are on the aquaruim property . so u can walk around the outside stuff....

There is also a god resturant on site.

the area in general is getting cleaned up year after year.

they invested a ton money in the water front. U can also walk the town its only a few blocks... and take a cab to tanger outlet or splish splash.... 10 min ride ....

Hi Guys: Even though I am unemployed, boating still must go on. It's there and I want to use it. Hey Robski, do you think there are enough transient slips there that can accomodate all of us and our 14' beams?
 
I was there in July, 2003 - there was an entire transient dock, we were the only one's for almost a week.

They have a nice pool and a decent restaurant.

The Aquarium is right next to the marina, Splish Splash Water Park is a short cab ride away.

Make sure you follow the channel from the end of Peconic Bay, it weaves back and forth - and is very shallow outside of it.
 
Hogan is correct... they have pleanty of slips ... just call ahead ... sometimes large groups book and want to be together....
