We're planning on taking an "adults only" cruise on 9/22 to Roundout, the municipal docks. Plan is a nice dinner at the Steel House then bar-hopping then sleeping on the boat and a slow cruise back Sunday morning.

I saw in BOTH there's going to be an Italian festival that weekend. Do you think we'll be able to get a slip? We don't want to go to RYB this time. What's the deal with reserving, do I have to call that day?

The Italian Festival is Sept. 29th and 30th. and there are no slips left for that weekend. We have about 8 boats going up and another 4 on a waiting list...

Sept 22nd. you should fine but if you want to call the Dock master the number is (845) 331-6940 ask for Tom.

Adults only cruise, eh? Is this clothing optional???

Chris, if it's "adult's only" what will you be doing for the weekend without the boat? And who is going to take it there?

If you guys are running out of slips. try the Maritime Museum. Cheap per-foot and they have power and water. Right next to the Steel House.

Hey Chris, Isabelle and i will be up there for the Italian Fest, we have a slip at the town docks. Hope you can make it up that way. It would be nice to see you and your wife again! I have a decent dinghy if your not at the town docks. Your welcome to use it to go to and from your boat if you like.

Hopefully everyone realizes the correct date. They had a booth at the Irish Festival (uh Chris where were you then!) and the date was as Leigh indicated.
By the way, the real Italian festival, the Feast of San J. is happening while we type no?

I'm glad I posted. According to the Kingston website, the date is the 29th: http://www.ci.kingston.ny.us/
I read in BOTH it was the 22nd. We're not interested in the Italian Festival although it would be nice. Sept 22nd is the only weekend we get a break from Soccer so I figured we'd make a trip out of it. While it would have been nice to go to the Festival, I'd just as soon not have to worry about a slip.

No comment on the "adults only" comments....you pigs ;)

No, you just call the museum, and they set you up. The number is: 845-338-0071

If you sign up for membership, they give you a lower per foot rate...

Great, we were planning a guys trip to kingston that day, because we couldn't get up there this weekend. I guess the steel house is where we want to eat?

BTW - Just received word from the admiral...we're on for the three hour tour!

Trying to get psyched but it's a crazy week at work and the boat is a damn mess!!

I hate it when work gets in the way of a good boat trip, Chris!!!

That happened to me last week. I worked half of my "off" day on Friday while my son and his friend waited somewhat impatiently to go out. I made it up to them later in the day, though, and we stayed overnight and came back late on Saturday...

PS - the Steel House is a good choice for the ambience, and a decent menu. So is Rosita's next door. The biggest menu, TVs to watch the ball games, and of course the highest prices are at Mariners up the street next to the town docks. There's also Japanese, Chinese, Puerto Rican, Continental and a couple of other places within walking distance...

I agree.

We have not been to the Steelhouse since they changed the menu but I hear its very good.

We were at the Steel House a few weeks ago and it was awesome. Then again, we have been to "Ship To Store" as well (not this year) so perhaps we'll keep that in mind.

we are heading out early to see some of the sites and take our time. Called the muni dock and dockamst told me i didn't have to make a resi, but i'm going to anyway. Jope to see you up there sat night.
