Very sad news, Jim Rothlein, the owner of RYC, passed away suddenly on August 16th.

He will be missed by all who had the pleasure of meeting and knowing him.

RIP, Jim.
 
Only 56 years old. We happened to be in Kingston a couple of weeks ago and saw him drive by while we were walking to Ship to Shore. It's all sad for us. Over the years Jim was very accommodating with our desires. Several times he let us come out just about last and go in early.
RYB was our home in the Summer time where we lived aboard the boat even though we had a condo overlooking the marina. Oh well, another chapter closes.
 
Very sad indeed! Was talking to him July 4th weekend.
 
I called today to make reservations and offer my condolences there was a long pause and what sounded like tears he was clearly well loved.
 
Not from that area, but got gas there before an overnight at the Kingston Town Dock last year.
Very sad to hear of someone that young passing.
 
I was there last week and while I did hear rumors I don't know for sure but I won't post unconfirmed info.
 
Let it be gang. Just mentioning rumors are running around is bad enough. Try to remember this is a public forum. His lover and relatives can see this.
