I have Crusaders 305 GM 220 HP. I'm in the process of replacing the valve cover gaskets which I ordered and received from BoatFix.com. The gasket seems to be made from a rubber material. I was going to put a small amount of Permatex gasket sealant to help seal. However, there is a warning on the Permatex label saying it will attack the rubber gasket. The question is do you use any sealant when installing the new rubber Valve cover gasket?
