Yesterday I started my day at Pop's Bait and Tack in Hampton Virginia. Randy had just got a load of live eels and I needed to stock back up. Later in the morning I dropped my ski in at Tidemill Boat Ramp in Yorktown and ran it around to my house in Poquoson. I grabbed some eels and went off and Ran the York River Shipping channel looking for Cobia hanging around bouys. I worked from No. 13 to No. 1, I only saw one and he went down and disapeared.
Today I got up early and left from house. I hit from #7 to #1 then #22 to #32 of the Baltimore Channel. I saw two today but they did not want what I had to offer today. It was a little choppy this weekend at 2-3 ft but nothing intolerable. I covered over 60 miles in two days and had a good time and saw plenty of things as usual. Put the ski back up on my dock so that I can do some work on the trailer. Here are some of the pictures I took while out.

Great pics...pretty cool rocket launchers, you can pack quite an arsenal...if I'm not mistaken, a legal Cobia's pretty big. What would you do if you wanted to keep one? And non-carbonated beverages would be key.
Nice sled though.
tight lines!

If you're as good a fisherman as you are a photographer the fish populations are in real trouble. :)

Really nice pics. Never saw a ski outfitted to raise fish. Very cool. But I have visions of "old man and the sea" if you catch something really big and have to tie it to the ski to haul it home.

Brian has caught some pretty big fish on the ski, maybe he can post a late fall/winter rockfish picture to show you what he does with a big fish--of course the weather is cold, so the cooler is much less necessary. He wears a Mustang suit for fishing that time of year--pretty hard core, he is.

Brings running and gunning to a new level. Giddy up!

Yabba-dabba-do! Mahi-mahi for Din-din! ;)

Let's see:

For that little one, fillet, broil with a touch of butter and a dash of oregano, served w/ a drop or two of lemon juice.

For that larger one, fillet, slice into "fish sticks" coat in a nice coarse cornmeal coating ( "Fish Fry" )then deep fry...
