I plan to make a two day trip to bring home "Victoria Secret III" for my friend Bill a fellow RO he is recovering from a stroke.
A friend and I will be making the trip this week and I was told that someone maybe Rommer had posted a link to a site about current info on NJ marinas with up to date info as to the conditions and facilities post Sandy. The boat is down in Delaware on the C&D canal I plan to go Wed morning and start the trip by heading to Cape May the first day. I know it is a short trip but it's a long drive down to the boat and then I need to do a systems check for everything including commissioning the water system before I head out. The second day I hope to get an early start and head straight home however if the weather was to turn I want options of save harbors between Cape May and the Hudson River. I know there was a lot of damage from the storm and some of the harbors were scarey before the storm so I was hoping for some advice and a link to this site that was posted sometime ago but not sure when.

Thanks in advance!

OK that was easy as soon as I posted the thread I notice the sticky with the link. However any feed back and advice is welcome.

Thanks Again.

Atlantic City (Farley) is open and had no damage Dave. It's also a fairly safe passage in and out if your draw less than 5' at any tide stage.
Bill

I'm thinking we shouldn't have a problem making it past Atlantic City if we do then we probably shouldn't have headed out in the first place however things change quickly.

Due to the weather forecast there has been a change in plans, we will be leaving DE on Thursday morning and heading to AC for the first leg. I don't know of anyone here that docks there but if so let me know.

Dave I think the AC marina has been renamed the Golden Nugget Marina. I don't know anyone that slips there due to the high costs. It is a great marina for south Jersey.
Have a safe trip. I probably won't be splashed until late Friday so I doubt we will even be able to say high on the VHF radio.
Bill

The AC marinas hailing channel was channel 65 (FYI).

Check active captain.com it s your best bet for up to date info incl phone numbers for marinas but also for local seatow/tbus for locnow

Head out in the morning, spent the day prepping the boat and went for a short shake down cruise all went well so we will head to AC in the morning.

Dave call me if you need anything while in Nj. Have a safe trip.
Bill

just inside of barnegat inlet there is an anchorage if you want set the hook.

Thank you both, we are spending the night at the Golden Nugget. The boat ran like a charm and the ocean was kind today. With at little luck tomorrow will be as nice and we will make it home in the afternoon. Bill actually has a view of the marina from his window I'm hoping he will see us pull in when we arrive.
