Not sure if this is only Carver specific, but let's start here...

Early Carvers had a horizontal sliding access door above 2 short vertical doors (salon entry from aft deck). On either side of the horizontal sliding door is a lipped "u-shaped" channel the sliding mechanism works in. Inside the channel are white plastic rectangular "glides" that ride inside the channel. Mine are worn/cracked and I would like to replace them. Easy to do since they attach to the window with only 2 screws.

Anyone know where to get them? I have been surfing the net but no luck yet, and thought I am probably not the first Carver owner to confront this...

I'll check at work...I think we have these, but it'll have to wait til after the show as I am there for the duration

FANTASTIC! Thx Kenny. Reserve 4 for me if you have them (I am sure they are in HIGH DEMAND). :)

Have fun at the show! Unfortunately I won't be able to drop by as I am traveling to EUrope tomorrow for the week.

probably teflon. if you cant get them buy teflon blocks at a plastics shop and mill as required

if all else fails, calls carver. they'll be able to supply the mfg info for you.

I made it back - although a bit colder here than Germany, it's good to be home!
I am driving to AKRON next week and might be able to swing in on the way over or back. Possible to pickup 4 of those? If so, shoot me an address for the Navigation entry and hours open. Hope the show went well. Thx!

maryk...
I haven't been back at the store since you left...the boat show is going on (today's the last day...YAY), and I've been there working it.

no problem
I don't head that way until Tue late morning or afternoon, and return Wed or Thu.

Try these RV places for the sliding door & curtain pulls. They usually have this stuff.

Thx ART
Fortunately I was able to have my parts guy order them through Carver. Should be in today.

It's always easiest to tell the parts guy I need that "thingy thing" can you get it? If he says yes you're all set.

I imagine those "parts guys" get a lot of requests like that from us boaters who have old relics... Every summer I have to bring Jack a cold one (or two) for the miracle work he does for me. Where would we be without them!
