On our 3607 I removed the old sanitary holding tank and converted the much larger port side water holding tank along with replacing all the sanitary hoses from the aft head.
The remaining starboard water holding tank is sufficient for our needs so increasing the sanitary tanks capacity made more sense for us.
I would recommend using a heat gun on the old sanitary hose to ease removal and installation of the new replacement hose, but be careful not to use too much heat.
The better grade sanitary hose is the best way to go and can be purchased from Boat Fix.
Not too hard or expensive to do.
