I thought I'd start another thread rather than dredge up the old one. I finally got the elbows off my big block crusaders. Getting the 4 inch hose off the muffler was a test of patience. After finally getting the hose off-cutting the hose outside the muffler flange-and using much effort and 4 letter words, I was finally able to get the hose off the muffler. I have a little damage to the edge of the flange, but the inside of the flange has a lot of loose fiberglass floating around. Should I use some resin to bed this loose glass and do I need to use heat temperate resin? I tried to find a replacement muffler and nothing seems to match my existing muffler. It has 2 4 inch intakes at the bottom of the round muffler, and 1 4 inch at the side near the top. Centak and Venis have not mufflers that match. Anyone know what muffer Carver used back in 89?
