Sat TV Anti-Depression

Yes if you are watching a channel lets say on an HD channel, and someone else wanted to watch a channel that is on a different satellite the dish would move to that satellite. It work on the last data request. There is a set up on the SeaKing to program one of the receivers as a main which would over ride any other sat receiver from having the sat dish move due to channel change that is located on another satellite.

Also no cable wrap on SeaKing 1500HD or 9815rj. No cable wrap on KVH M3 ST and DX and above. Not sure on the M2. That is used at the dock or anchored.

Not yet, We have had only one good weekend so far. I was up this weekend and started waxing and Painting. As soon as that is complete I will be starting the install of the mast and dish.
I purchased my dish from Consumers Marine Electronics. Purchased it at the Atlantic City NJ boat show in Feb.
 
Thanks Bob, I took off my shrink wrap and put the bimini up. Measured the clearnace needed for the bimini for the radar and am glad to report that I only need the standard 24" PYI mount. I am planning on using two older Sony DTV SD receivers but am looking for RF remote controls for them. Should be easy to find.
 
Bob, ordered my SeaKing 9815RJ last night. Has already shipped. Next up: PYI dual mount. Have you started your install?

How are you. Hope all is well. Did you get your boat in?

I am in the water. We launch her on Saturday April 19th. I removed the origional name "Francy Free" on Saturday.

I started on the installation of the Mast on Sunday around 12pm. I was able to remove the open array and drill all my holes and bolt the mast to the arch. I finish the installation around 6:30pm. I also wired and installed the mast Light but did not take a picture yet. Here are some pictures of the installation. I need to wire the light under the wings and install the spreaders and open array.

Looks great and it really compliments the boat!

My Carver should be in the water in two weeks, can't wait.

Here is a picture of my new/used Pro Line, from the sea trial a couple of weeks ago in Toledo, OH. I will be busy adding a dozen rod holders, radar and Gps next week.

Can't wait to cruise and fish!

Yes I bought a SeaKing 9815-RJ and received it in two days. Have not ordered the mast yet. Am trying to find the best price. I am taking my 12 foot ladder over to the boat tomorrow. Your mast looks awesome. Those lights are great! Keep us “posted.” :)

I see you were finally able to post a picture of your boat. Very Nice. The new SS's are very sharp. I can't wait to see your mast as well. Do you know when you will installing it?
 
Well I thought had it ordered but there is some confusion as it is a "custom" mount. It will have a 10 inch base and eye loop. Trying to order it through the sales channel to lower the price. No worries, should be ordered by Monday-Tuesday next week. Am sick right now so stuck at home anyway. PYI says it will take from 4-5 weeks but could get here is as little as 2. I have already been up at the arch snooping around quite a bit taking existing measurements, yaw, and pitch, so I won't be going in blind. Have not actualy found the cable run to the TV's yet. Called carver and they were to send via email but did not. Otherwise, as soon as I get the mount, the next weekend I will start. Having my mount made with an eye loop for lowering at bridges. I will keep it manual at first then maybe next year put in a motor. I don't think July 4th is too ambitious to have it done by. Funny, don't think I will watch TV while watching the fireworks :).

Installing the mast is not as bad as it looks. Just make sure you have all your measurements. Also make sure you have a backing plate made so it fits inside the radar arch. This will help provide added support.

I was able to get both tv's working with two receivers. Now my kids can watch one show and I can watch something else at night.

I also included pictures of our boats name at dusk. You can now see the color which lights up at night.

Not that I am a copy cat, but I really like it, but, a name like yours stands out - short and sweet and the effect really ads to the boat.
I am not sure Brook, Line and Sinker would look as good. I would be interested in getting a price.

Did you install it yourself and did you hook it up to a seperate switch? My Christmas gift to myself was going to be under water lights for the transom, maybe I will ask Santa for a name to go with it.

Thanks for the compliment. I did install it myself. It uses 12v to 5v transformer that you need to mount. The lights are LEDS, so very low consumption on power. One switch is all you need. It comes with a template to so it is easy to install. The pricing is based on type, height of letters, and number of letters. If you want, I can take pictures of my install this weekend so you can see how I installed it.

I had a quote for a lighted sign made in Florida and they quoted me around $5,000. I would be interested how much they quoted you for yours.
