Satelite Dome

USB connection if needed. I'm not using HD so I only have to hit one satellite and the controller box takes care of this which is why I can use and box I want. I have eight USB inputs on the controller in case I want to have any of the boxes then are looking for a different satellite I can program a priority as to which box is the master but in my setup none of this is needed.

I have had a SeaKing for a few years. Installed it myself along with custom mast. Always works great including underway. I have never checked the receiver signal strength but I will. If I were buying today I would prpobably select Intelian because they seem to have the best prices and except for the turtle shaped domes, they all seem to be the same and work well. Good luck. Let us know if you have any problems. I may upgrade mine to HD but I have to talk myself into buying an HD TV for the boat too.

I have two HD TVs but they are 22" and 19" sets I can't see the need for HD I would never be able to tell the difference the picture looks great and I only watch TV on board a few hours per year how much is it really worth? I'm glad I got this, I was really tired of stringing cables on the dock for the pole mounted dish I had last year this is so much easier and it works were ever I am although I haven't left the dock yet this year.

The season is off to a good start everything is working and I have a full tank, Life is good:)

I run 3 tv's all on one box. Remote is rf so it controls box from any place on boat. All tv's get the same channel but it's not a issue.

I don't want to watch what my kids watching when I go to bed. If I add a third set in the cockpit then I would pair it off of one of the sets. I don't know that I have a need for a TV in this area but I have the set kicking around the house so it's not like I have to go out and buy it so I might put it in for the hell of it.

How do I check that? Do you have a clear view of sky?

No I have a display that shows signal strength.

Dunno. Have to look next time I'm out.

How would a multi switch allow a secondary receiver to control the LNA?

I forgot to check you TV yesterday when you get a moment check your signal strength I'm just wondering if some domes are truly getting 10% or more better signal then both the KVH and my unit or is it just my dock because Bob is on G dock and getting a much higher signal then I get. This is not a major concern the signal I get is more then good enough I'm just curious if some brands are that much better then others.
