I have a Raritan Sea Era (pressurized fresh water) electric head that I installed one year ago.
After I first installed it, occationally it would continue to fill the bowl with fresh water. Per Vic's instruction, I installed an inline water filter. This cured the problem.
Fast forward to now and the thing STILL adds fresh water into the bowl.
Now here's the problem, I have my boat sold and am waiting for the new owner to come by for a sea trial to make sure all systems work.
I need help and in a hurry.

Thanks,
Russ

Congrats on the sale Russ. I'm keeping my fingers crossed for you that it all goes smooth.

Since you need to have it fixed right away would it be better to have a dealer or professional look at it so it doesn't kill the sale?

I did the install and I'm pretty sure it's the solenoid or water break . . .I forget what it's called.
Hoping Vic sees this and can give me some of his wisdom!

Vic is the expert but I can't see how it could be anything BUT the solenoid valve/water break. Has to be leaking.

Here at the house I sometimes have problems with the house toilet valve sticking from calcium buildup. The easiest thing for me is to replace the valve (cheap). In your case maybe disconnect the hoses and squirt some vinegar in it and let it soak for a while. Then cycle the valve several times to try to break up the calcium. There is stronger stuff than vinegar (such as CLR) but it might damage the valve. Vic should know.

I got off the phone with Raritan this morning. They are going to warrantee it (I bought it Feb 2007 - 2 months out of warrantee) and send me a new Fresh Water Solenoid Valve. So I can swap them out next week when it arrives and return the original.
Gotta love great customer service!

That is good to know since I installed a Sea Era fresh water toilet last year. So far it has worked as advertised.

Replaced the diaphragm and o-ring and she's good-to-go!
