Seafood Restaurant in Nassau County

Folks,
Ok, you folks haven't failed me with some great recommendations...I'm looking for a casual seafood restaurant in Nassau close to Syosset if possible.

thoughts?
 
You could try Coolfish in Syosset (6800 Jericho Turnpike)
 
Not a Nassau guy, but not far away is Nader's in Huntington, they print groupons. Very casual, can eat otuside and very good! Get the raw clams and mussels marinara!

Another similiar place is the Shack in Northport but further away.
 
I second Cool Fish. Good bar, excellent seafood and they have live music some evenings.
 
Cool Fish is the only spot up in that area. Great food. A bit pricey but worth it.
 
Thanks all...Cool Fish sounds great but i'm looking for more of a casual dining...Nader's sounds great so far. Was trying to keep this in Nassau but Huntington's pretty close...I'll check it this weekend.

anything in Freeport or other Nassau venue I should check?
 
freeport is slowely reopening, jc cove and I think rachesla re open and eb elliots reopens may 1st.
 
If you go south to Copaigue there is south side.
It doesn't get much better or more casual.

that's what I had in mind but didn't want to ask her to meet me there from Nassau. What started out as part of a conversation regarding food, turned to seafood, then fishing, then crabbing as kids...I said unfortunately while they are my favorite food, they are not for first dates...she says, why not...its fun...so I took that and am running with it....lol
and there you have it...So, gotta have blue claws on the menu and I'm getting a bib...hahahaha
 
Then do naders. It's cheap and quaint and has a great seafood selection.
Sit outside if still light. Chat away. Eat. Then walk around Huntington. Go to Canterbury Ales for a drink.
Then sex in the alley. Ok, forget the sex.

Yup but no crabs on the menu...I'll have to call them and check. I grew up in Huntington and Canterbury was an old stomping ground. Although I'm not too familiar with that alley....hahahhahaha

Just throwing my .02 cents in, but you got Joes Crab Shack lol..Casual and not too bad on price. Its always busy, so if things arent going well just say youre going to the bathroom and she wont see slip out the door with the crowd...
 
B & B Amityville. Step up from southside, they bring to your table. Ask for Harry, tell him Marie and Billy sent you. Wine and beer only, but the freshest seafood you have ever eaten. Call me, for you to get setup.

Yup, I know that place too...so we have the north shore and south shore borders covered with Huntington and Amityville/Lindenhurst choices...

thanks for the help. I'll go with one of these three.
 
way back when there were nice restaurants with great views on the Sound in Bayville just a bit north of Syosset
