I was wondering if anyone knew if SeaTow was available if you boat on the Mohawk? I see that there is a Mid-Hudson. Thanks.

I checked the website. It has seatow locations in the mid-hudson, but not mohawk. It will reimburse, up to 5k any towing from a third part as long as the rate is below $150/hr. I was just wondering if anyone had any experience with seatow on the mohawk / upper hudson. Thanks.

Maybe one of the northern Hudson guys has the answer.

If you like where you live, go back to the web site and click the box labeled "opportunities." You could wind up boating and getting paid to do it [:-goldfish]

Don't wait for your ship to come in, row out to it!

I know they are in kingston since I see them towing folks all the time.

Geez, Morgo, are you planning on becoming a customer???

No planning pete, but they say that a boat has most of it's problems in the first few months? Also I plan on cruising alot further than I had before, solo, so I want to make sure that I'm not in east bumfart, break down, and owe the towing company my first born. Like to hedge my bets.

It's the best insurance you can buy.

One call more than pays for it.

Sea Tow's docks are just north of the Kingston Rhinecliff Bridge. I am not sure how far north their actual zone is but I have it and one tow pays for the membership easily.

They came up and got us at Catskill once when a coil decided to fry every ignition part I had on board and another time they towed me from Turkey Point all the way to Coeymans when the steering cable quit.

The nice thing is that if you are the insured and your on another person's boat as "the captain" your covered. They are a bunch of nice guys.

Just take it easy when you go past their docks on the Hudson. Stay in the east of the channel and back to a low roar.
