If anyone form the west coast can help answer a few questions.

Thinking of making the trip from NY to Seattle for the boat show. From the web site looks like it is really big.

1 how big is the show?
2 is it to cold out there to look at boats on a lake in the water in Feb?
3 Do the Manufactures bring all of their models there?
4 Is it getting smaller every year like the east coast shows?

Thanks for your input

I went to the one last year for the first time, so I can only give my opinion based on that limited experience.

1 how big is the show?
A - It takes up the entire space of the Qwest / Century Link event center which is quite large. It spills over into the ramps of Century Link field as well as the south lake union marina, so I thought it was pretty big. My wife and I spent probably 4 hours there (only at the event center) and I felt like I came away with a good idea of what was available out there (we were looking for our new boat at the time).

2 is it to cold out there to look at boats on a lake in the water in Feb?
A - Too cold, probably not, too wet, maybe. We may have a cold snap come through at the end of January, but it will for sure be raining (it only rains twice a year in Seattle, October-December and January-June :) )

3 Do the Manufactures bring all of their models there?
A - All the big ones here seemed to have a good representation of their models, SeaRay and Bayliner for sure did. There are over 200 exhibitors listed for "New Boat Brands" on their web site, so I think that's probably a good amount.

4 Is it getting smaller every year like the east coast shows?
A - I can't answer since last year was my first, but it always seems to be a big deal around here so it probably hasn't shrunk that much.

Hope that helps, let me know if you fly out, I may be there again this year with my yacht club. It'd be cool to look you up and say hi.
