Hello Locals: well it appears as though we are finally closing on selling my older boat through a local Marina. Can they register a boat in Ct without the Title? The boat is currently registered in RI. RI is a "no-title" state and the boat is financed. The new owner was told that the boat would be registered today by the Marina. Can this happen in Ct ? I am expecting a very heated "closing" due to un-authorized work that the Marina said they did without my knowledge. The marina said they would show me all of the receipts from the work. Can I be charged for work not authorized? I do not trust this Marina at all. Hindsight is too late though.
