Hi everyone, hope your Christmas holiday was blessed with family and friends.
I began the chore of hunting down the reason my starboard tank does not register more than 1/4 tank (sometimes registers empty). I have a common gage with a toggle switch that activates either port or starboard sending unit. Some things I have done today:
I am in a really tight spot, if I have to change a sending unit I doubt I could without pulling the engine to remove the tank. There is only about four inches between the tank and the deck to work and that access is through a removable storage compartment.
I finally found my tiny ratchet screwdriver tonight, so I may be able to remove the wires for cleaning but wondered if anyone had any ideas other than bad ground or bad sending unit. It is a real pain to get to even for the eliminating process. I am thinking of running a line from the sending unit to the switch tomorrow to qualify the integrity of that wire as well.

- Grounded the sending unit ground with a jumper wire to check connection
- swapped terminals on the switch to eliminate the switch as the culprit
- Cleaned all wires and replaced connectors at the dash end
