Sewage leak in Yonkers

No swimming for Jake today. He is NOT happy!

Ugh. But then if you lived on the Rondout you'd be used to it since they let the sewage out what seems like every high tide up here.

OH CRAP! (Literally)

Had plans to be around the GWB today. Guess we'll go down to Sandy Hook Bay instead.

Yesterday was perfect and I didn't go out and tomorrow through Thursday are supposed to be nice too.

Isn't this the same sewerage treatment plant that dumped millions upon millions of gallons of sewerage daily into the river during the recent blackout (2003?). It was due to their emergency backup generators needing ConEd's electricity to get them started.

Meanwhile, politicians hassle us boaters who actually care about the river since we live on it, eat from it and swim in it.

Makes you kind of wonder...how many recreational boats' heads would equal 4 million gallons.

I thought the Hudson was loaded with beer drinkers?

Now they're saying don't swim in the Westchester portion of the Hudson. LOL! Oh well, looks like you'll all have to come up and visit me this year if you want to go swimming. Then again, don't do it on a Sunday night - you know the old story ;)...
