I just purchased a 1995 Rinker Captiva 212 CC w/ 350 alpha one. I got a great deal on it and knew there was a couple of things that might need attention.
The two things I have found are the steering and the shifter.
The shifter takes quite a bit of effort to push full forwards and backwards. I assume that the linkage needs greased/oiled. Any other ideas what I might need to look at and maybe somewhere to go that has some info on these shifters. (Quicksilver 3000)
Also I noticed alot of slop in the steering. There is alot of play in the steering wheel and you can move the outdrive sise to side a good 4 or 5 inches without any effort or The steering wheel moving. (It has power steering BTW) any ideas what I should check or a website with good info on this. I hate to start digging around without really knowing what I`m looking for.
Sorry for the long questions and thanks for any help you can give me.
