Greetings..
I recently purchased a 1989 Chaparral Laser 32' sport cruiser... I love the boat, but have found a few things that arent working and thought I would ask a few questions here since I'm a noob with cruisers...
We noticed that the shower doesn't drain... Doesn't seem like it drains at ALL. I have nosed around a little and it looks like I should probably have a pan somewhere with a bilge pump in it to bilge out the water.
Can anyone tell me if I should be looking underneath my shower for this, or if it would be pumped out of the shower area to another location in the boat... If its under the shower I have no clue how I'm going to get to it as this boat is TIGHT.
Secondly - my head appeared to have filled up the holding tank after only 2 days on the boat. we have a 25 gallon waste tank, so I knew this couldnt be possible.
Any ideas on this one? Blocked hose maybe??
Looking at both of these issues makes me wonder almost if there arent some valves somewhere that are shut off prohibiting the flow of water to the shower sump/waste tank...
Any and all comments would be more than welcome as I am flying blind and would prefer not to pay for the fix..
PS: The head is a "raritan manual head".. We do have a macerator and y valve, and the overboard discharge has been disabled per the survey documentation I received..
