Some sad sack decided the city is responsible for the death of his kids. It seems they should have a barrier to prevent people from driving into the river.

That would mark the end of the entertainment for Gully's.

Any attorney with half a brain can defend against this case. I can show 100 places where you can drive your car into the river without a problem. Do all of those places need barriers as well?

On top of that the mother drove the car in on purpose, not an accident. The case might have more merit if it was an accident.

I bet the case gets tossed.

The lawyer who filed it should have sanctions brought again for wasting the courts time IMHO.

Reading the story is quite entertaining though. This is typical behavior for much of our country. Notice that the father of the girl who survived is in jail. The mother had only 2 baby daddies. I;m sure if she lived longer there would have been more than 2.

Our country is being taken down by these mongrels.

And don't forget that accident up by Saugerties where the boat ran into an old foundation killing people. Folks were saying the owner of the property was responsible for an early morning drunk driving collision with the foundation.

There are people out there that are feel for them.

it's not my fault:
the bartender made me drunk, the car didn't have a drunkinterface,

The shameful part of this is that while the time of the courts is being taken up with this there are legit cases being ignored. Perhaps if the father was not out screwing around his kids would still be alive.

Can I sue this guy for letting his wife commit suicide and closing the boat launch, preventing me from fishing that day? I think that is worth about $200.00 to me and I am sure there were others that were effected, so I bet we can put together a class action lawsuit for about $80 million...

Perhaps tough but it is a fair question. Who are these people to constantly blame everyone but themselves for their actions?

Ask yourself this, 50 years ago would a lawsuit like this have been filed?
