Greetings to all: The search continues to replace my 50 year old 36 aft cabin boat. My viewing is now moved to Silverton and I have found a refurbished 1985 aft cabin. re-cored and re-gelcoated side decks and transom. However once again I am looking for advice as to the quality,range, and general issues with this and other Silvertons. Thank you.
 
Bill, did you put this other Silverton forum as well? May be good to double up.
 
Bill I've surveyed a good number of these vessels and there are some known problems that I've encountered with some of them. Mainly relating to the repaired areas you have described. I would say that the repairs done on the vessel would be in question as far as the quality of work and materials that have been used. A good inspection would clear those concerns up. As far as the layout and design this is a very nice boat to own.
