This is what I have on my 4.3 V6, puts out 55 amps. I think trying to charge two batteries at the same time would be a strain. My older Jeep I think has a 90 amp alternator and the top of the line of them had a 160 amp.
When I get my boat up & running in a few weeks I'll use my clamp meter to see how many amps it pulls to charge one battery after it starts. Might try it with both just to see.
