Slip fees

Great local knowledge, yzer! I didn't know about that beacon, I guess 'cause I've always arrived in daylight. [:-bulb]

Spindrift is a great palce - I have had dinner there 3 times in the past month, and it is really good. I beleive the guy that runs it bought it a couple of years back, and is doing a great job of cleaning it up. He works very hard, and deserves - has earned - your business. Another really nice spot is the Waterfront, also on the loop but closer to Perrys. Same thing - they are really cleaning that up, and the food is very good and reasonable, and the view is really waterfront - all glass front!

Speaking of Perrys, I heard someone bought it - anyone heard? The rumor had it being turned into condos?

Jim

Flutter,

I'm going to call Pacific about the Air Dock. They are actually pretty good units, and I almost bought one when I came across the Hydrohoist. I'll check it out - thanks

I haven't heard what's going on at Perry's. The property certainly has potential.

Spindrift Restaurant re-opened about two years ago. It was quite a hot spot back in the seventies. It was closed about seven years and during that time the restauarnt and the marina got separate ownership. Re-opening was a major investment: the restauarnt needed structural upgrades and modernized facilities and had to meet current building codes.

Looks like Spindrift Restauarant is beating the odds though and the current owner-managers are doing well.

Is that the former Lighthouse Restaurant? I knew it was under new ownership and they were remodeling. I like the spot, but it is a terrible place to tie up a boat unless they have lengthened the fingers and protected the seawall from wakes!

Jim when you talk to Pacific about the Air Dock, mention my name and they will charge you double!!!! just joking........

Flutterby - I called Pacific and they have 2 "D" Air Docks and are asking $3500. Seemed high so I looked at the Air Dock web - they have 2 "d" types, one for 8000 lbs at $3350 (I think) and one for 8000 lbs at $3800 so the $3500 is high for a 2 year old lift, but you do save shipping which is probably a bit.
Worth a call.

I told you NOT to use my name!!!! But everything is negotiable.......

I bought mine new 7 yrs ago for $3000 which included shipping and installation. Mine is smaller then those. After 4 yrs of not bottom painting, not corroding my outdrive, etc etc, I had saved enough to match that $3k. Also one time I developed a bellows leak, but since my boat was up out of the water until I was there, the boat stayed dry! How much money did I save there???? Don't know what might have happened if the battery had gone dead.......

Good luck!
