I have a leak when it rains real hard in a place that I can't figure out where it is coming in at.

The carpet gets wet in front of the little built in night stand next to the bed/seating that is under the helm. I checked the railing where it attaches to the boat and it is clean, dry and sealed. It is not leaking in from the side of the boat through any of the ports either. It seems to be coming straight down from above but I cannot trace it.

Has anyone else had a leak like this?

Check the screws that hold the winshield in place. When I had my 95.....330DA....mine where leaking.

You need to remove the black foam strip at the base of the windshield.....and you'll see the screws. I removed them and filled the holes with silicone and reset the screws .....seamed to work.....till I traded in the boat.

Good Luck

I did notice that the caulk around the fron of the windsheild is seperated from the deck. Need to remove and re-caulk...

I have a '97 330 also, with a starboard side leak that evaded my best efforts for 4 years - just solved the problem two weeks ago. Water would run in somewhere, travel along the top of the cabinets (you can access the invisible tops via the stachion access ports in the cabinet) and run down behind, gather at the rear of the trim piece (rotted and replaced this season)along the bottom front of the cabinets and drip about in the same place you are describing. Rebedded everything on that side - no luck.

Turns out it was an invisible caulk leak behind the trim ring on the forward port. Caulk looked solid but there was separation behind it. I used a product called Capt. Tolley's Creeping Crack Cure - water based white liquid that 'finds' leaks. Multiple applications with drying in between solved the problem.

Several years ago, in an attempt to control the leak, I had front canvas made that covered the full windshield wipers and posts just to be safe.

Maybe it's the windshield, or wipers, or something else - if all else fails, try the Capt. Tolley's - I'm a believer.

Thanks Eric,

I have a canvas that zips in where the eisenglass would for the windshield and goes down to the bottom of the windshield where I have snaps and yes that helps. My wife and I talked about getting a cover for the whole front that used the snaps around the bottom of the windshield I just talked about and then snap around each of the gaurd rail braces. It is time to caulk everything, including the ports anyways. I already pulled all three hatches out and re-sealed those, not that big of a job.
