1. For outboards, there may be a reason why the aftermarket flush adapter looks different from the oem flush port plug. When the mechanic says that's why the overheating alarm is going off, believe him!

2. Don't look to clean the anchor upstream from another boat unless prepared to fend off with, fenders. Fortunately they were stored in an easily accessible area.

3. Stepping on the "kill switch" lanyard, will most likely "kill" the motor. Check before calling for a tow (I did). Best to check first before a twenty minute futile trouble shoot (I did not). alan
