SPBM Letter

It's really not something I'm excited about I enjoyed having it but I had one for many years at this point and last year I hardly used it so we decided it was time to sell. I will miss it but I will save about $800 a year between docking insurance and winterizing it every year, never mind it goes down in value each year as well. I was simply time. Maybe I will buy something else like a small boat not this year but maybe next.

You should have kept it and added a hydroluc swim platform and a generator.

Yep we are full at Minisceongo, with a list. And I think SS3 Pennetbridge will be. Saw people asking about slips last Saturday.

People want to move to Minisceongo because it's so well protected with a small entrance and the high berm around it. Everyone is worrying about the next storm. I don't think the people moving are new boaters. They move from another marina leaving an empty slip there.

What about PBM?

I'm pretty sure most of the larger slips are taken at Haverstraw. I heard they were trying to add some more to accomodate the recent inquiries. They have always struggled filling the smaller ones as these boaters have many options in the area and Haverstraw has not been competitive.

Minisceongo isn't just well protected, it's a very very pretty a serene setting. Very different from the surrounding marinas.

Beautiful place but a little too sleepy for me. Have visited friends on a beautiful weekend day and there is nobody around. How is the water at low tide once you exit marina getting out to the river? Another negative is you have to pass that routy crowd at PennyBridge.

Got some info about the SPBM restaurent. They are talking with the town to see if they can repair the barge or they have to demolish it and start over. The docks come first. When the docks are done then they will see about the barge.

Passing PBM is makes the trip so special. They are dredging out the channel this year, plenty of water.

Surprised they got a permit for that but good for them. Permits are nearly impossible unless it is a re-dredging. As far as PMB, let's just say that is a matter if opinion. I would fear for my life.

So long as you don't wake us, we are a very friendly group...
