SPBM Party

We'll be taking a miss -- will be in the Caribbean. Thought it was nice that they were organizing one.
 
I heard you can only go if you keep your boat there for the winter and if they have not damaged it.
 
And your summer slip is paid for all ready...
 
That might explain why I didn't get an invite.

Didn't get the invite, however we will be having fun in Mexico's Riviera Maya and celebrating our daughter Madison's 11th birthday and our 20th wedding anniversary.

Should we postpone our trip? Yeah, I didn't think so.

Also my damaged swim platform is repaired by John the fiberglass guy (great job, forgot his last name).

Confirmed that it is for boats that wintered. Very nice to do, to close to Christmass for me to much to do.

The SPBM Christmas party at the Inn at Central Valley is for the people that winter with them for the 2009-10 season.
 
I guess the party is just in case they damage your boat, you will not feel so bad.
 
They have never damaged my boat, or even came close, but I am always there when they haul it.
 
Couldn't they have found a place further away from the marina to have the party?
 
I could be wrong but I think this place is on Wayne's golf course.
 
The INN at Central Valley is apart of Faulkirk Golf Course (formally Central Valley Golf Course) and yes that is the place Wayne owns.
For what's it's worth the food is great and the place is really nice... I got an invite but unfortunately have prior engagments.

If you got an invite and are on the fence about going, I would say go...
Like I said, the food is great and it is a very nice gesture for them to do for their loyal customers...

I find in funny that so many people chime in that are not even apart of SPBM marina...

Also... Has anyone that decided not to winter at SPBM get asked NOT to return next summer? Just wondering...

FYI: Getting 3' of Lake Effect Snow this weekend at our upstate house (Pulaski Area). God, I love winter... BRRAAAPPPPPPP!!!
