SPBM

It's the listed draft and what Starry Night tells me. I think Dave has too much stuff in his garage!

When I bought the boat it was on the info sheet
http://www.everyboat.com/boat/252-1996-trojan
I also read it on the manual But I have Cats and four blade 30-34 props that may make the differance.

The boat 40' Sundancer looked like he was having fun in the cabin. But he is the first slip maybe it get better further in. IDK

That davit weighs you down. I just looked at the manufacturers spec sheet, it lists draft at 48".

What's up with that davit??? Where do you put a boat or jetski once the davit lifts it, looke from the picture that boat has no swim platform.

PS
The eel grass here on the south shore of LI has been real bad this year, pretty much rendered my jet ski useless, last year was bad but this year is worse. Where does this stuff come from?

Walter, the jet ski goes in the garage along with the davit.

Doesn't it only fit one of the standup type jetskis though?

The top of the garage is the swim platform both starry night and Hogan have extended platforms which are real nice maybe some day I too ,will add that but the one I want is big bucks. The davit in the garage lifts up and has a heavy duty winch to lift a small jetjki or dink in my case it is pretty cool but I would love to have that much additional space inside the boat. I don't have the third bedroom like Hogan and Bob either so my salon is a little more open but I added a filler insert for the couch so I have a third bed just not private. They are great boats I'm sure Hogan will love the new additional.

I would be very happy if you are right but in all the paper work that came with my boat said 53" maybe it a difference in the years I may be wrong it wouldn't be the first time. I think my rudders are a little larger then Bobs as well they may have reduced the size for a lower draft either way I'm very happy it handles like a dream. I have seen some boats listed as weighing 30k and mine is 32k I don't cruise as fast as Bob either but I burn much less fuel they all have there little differences. I love the look of your interior it looks very clean. I hope to get a tour someday. Best of luck with getting home, I hope all goes well. Would have been a great drive if you had the time. The trip up from NC a few weeks ago was great but that was less then half the distance.

Dave, we'll have to have a side-by-side-by-side comparison when I get it up here.

Here is the info on the Trojan 44 Express with 15ft beam.

1996-1997 Trojan 28,000 w fuel and water. 48" draft.
1998-2000 Trojan 30,000 w fuel and water. 48" draft.
2001-2002 Trojan 32,000 w fuel and water. 48" draft.

When I spoke to Carver about my boat, I was told that the 2001 and 2002 boats were closer to 33,000 and with your stuff on board your looking at 34,000 lbs. I have no clue why. But when I tried to wiegh my boat my bathroom scale broke.

I guess that when Staten Island YS listed the boat they looked up the most current stats but where the 53" came from I'm not sure. I know I have read it in more than one place. I have to read my manuals over the weekend. As I said I've been wrong before I'm sure it will not be the last time. But now I guess I have to sell the boat because it not what I believed it was. I was misled and taken. I still stand behind my fuel stats that I tested myself over several trips. Cruise at 23 mph burn 20.9 GPH on average. Worst burn rate was 23 GPH I'm very happy with these numbers.

That's surprising, it holds you....

;)

(Couldn't let that one slip by Bob, and I know I just painted a big target on my back!)

Thanks for the early morning laugh, John!
