SPBM

I wouldn't leave over not getting a Hot dog either. There are too many other better reasons:) My biggest issue with the marina is really beyond their control it's the lack of water but the sea wall is a big issue as well. The one big thing they have going for them is the view, I love the view from my slip.
 
I’ve held off on writing this but this current topic is begging for another related story:

This past spring, I was discussing the current state of SPBM with its young owner/manager. I suggested that lights on the dock that were out should be replaced, security improved as I lost a shore power cordset during the prior season , etc. After a small twitch of a muscle or two, he said “if you don’t like the marina, take your boat and go.” Now that’s outstanding customer service!

Guess what I did?
 
That high level of customer service can only be passed down from generation to generation.........
 
That doesn't seem like an appropriate response to your request but this really surprises me he seems like a good kid and means well but I guess he is still a kid and he will learn about business the hard way. I don't wish them ill I wish things could and would change around there but I too could tell you a few stories not about JR frankly he and his father have always done right by me but any and all management that they had but in place left much to be desired. Most recent was Stu I told him about the incident on my dock and he actually said to me what do you want me to do call the Pee Pee police. I'm glad I was on the phone when he said that I want to reach through the phone and smack him when he said it.
 
We can talk about this all we want. I for one have plan B for my family if I need it. It is what it is.
 
Wayne for everything thing in life a smart person always has a "Plan B". I hope your is good and works out...

Wayne I see you have gone on the hard already at Patsy's Bay. You never pull out this early, are you having issues with the boat or just thinking the river will not clean up in time to get out again?
 
River is not great, plus I have issues with my house that need taking care of. Boat is running 100%, only sorry didn't use it more this season.

I had the pleasure to attend the Haverstraw customer appreciation party today and I must say they know how to through a party unlike some. They had plenty of food and drinks a live band and it seemed everyone was having a great time without drunks dancing on tables. It was nice to see and enjoy!. They even had plates and plastic cutlery.

Rumor has it you have to play politics (supply beer) to officials like the Governor ;)
 
May 2010, old owners...Stop by and see Ginny and Mike. Im sure they can find a slip for you..
 
Haverstraw has always done a real nice Octoberfest / end-of-year thank you, as well as a breakfast buffet on the morning of the blessing of the fleet.
 
This year they did a fifties theme party rather then an October fest I think it went over well. While I was there I got to see a few former members of SPBM I knew the had move there but haven't seen them in a while. I'm looking forward to more parties in the future.
