I went down to the marina yesterday to do a little work on the boat. It was cold!!! I can't work well in the cold. I'm rethinking my splash date. At the present rate, I don't think I'll even consider taking off the winter tarp for another three or four weeks, at the earliest. I've mentally moved my splash date from the beginning of April to the end of April. Hy

Hopefully sea trialing the Viking and the Sea Ray last week in March or first week in April. Then close the deal.

Figuring to finally get the Sea Ray in Freeport (our new home port) by 2nd to 3rd week of April.

We'll be at Atlantic Yacht Haven this season.

I went down to the yard today, and my little boat is in the water. They must be sea trailing it. I had a whole bunch of work done to do the boat.

I had them pull the head, and put the head on a new midsection because the old one had a locked up steering tube, i had a new steering system put in, with no feedback, new bilge pump installed in the splash well

ill find out monday how she ran

Planned on March 15 but need a few warm days in a row to get her clean. Pretty exciting though with this winter!!

Sometime around mid April is fine for me. I put up a new fence at my dock this year that now enables me to use a boat hauler rather than the crane so I have a lot more flexibility.

Splashing hopefully with a new boat 4-21, and bring her home from SIYS. :)

What did you end up getting?

We usually splash around 3/15 but may wait until mid April. With knowing we are selling the boat it is not as exciting this year. But if all works out it will be better in the long run. If the boat does not sell then we will take a few short trips to Fire Island destinations. If she sells early it will be a very bittersweet time.

Probably mid-April for me, haven't picked a date yet. Within the next week or two I'll start on prep work, have to take care of a couple engine maintenance items and have a slight ding on one prop so need to give myself time to order some things and get the props done.

Sounds great. Great luck with her. Make sure you check your nuts before your trip on the way home....

Pretty much done deal Rob, survey will conclude this adventure. Gotta tell you, next time around I will buy brand new, this used gig is way to much work :)

Walter that a great looking boat I have had the pleasure to look at a couple up close and I have to say good choice.

Enjoy and best of luck with the survey!

When is the survey and are you planning to get an early start to the season?
