Splash Dates?

Thank you for the heads up - I just called the guy, original owner, but seemed to have a lot of interest in the boat the last few weeks and said it might already be sold (I found it was also listed at http://www.yachtworld.com/boats/2006/Rinker-360-HT-Express-2486736/VT/United-States so he's going to call and check). We got disconnected on the phone, but I'm sure he'll call back.

Looks real nice though. Seriously good size boat. Almost 40' LOA - wow

I really appreciate you keeping your ear to the ground - b/c if a good deal comes along I'd make the move as soon as I can.
 
I would be careful with a Rinker. I've known of three people that had one( not the 36' though)
and they had a lot of problems with them.

I appreciate the words of caution, and I really don't want to get into which boats are better than others here b/c I'll invariably offend someone or what-not. Overall, Rinker was not super high on my list for two reasons. Their cockpit layout is not of my personal preferance (style) and I have had some friends have issues with them as well. That's not to say I haven't heard of Sea Ray, Chaparral, Cobalt and everything else have their own issues. I feel that with boats especially (vs cars and other toys) its really about maintenence. I'd rather have an older boat or "lesser" brand that was fanatically taken care of than a newer or "higher quality boat" that was repeatedly beat-up and not properly serviced. Just my opinion on it. I'd say my top few choices would be Chap, Four Winns, Sea Ray & Regal; mainly for the overall reputation, the availability of different models/sizes/prices and their layouts...however, I'm looking at a million different things and only time will tell what I actually get. Now is the fun part!

I've seen some real ratty name brand boats. The name is only good until it leaves the dealer, after that it's all about how the owner took care of it.

That being said: My dock neighbor has a 34' Rinker, maybe 02, 03, or 04. I'm not really sure of the year.
Anyway, I was surprised at how much space and creature comforts the boat has for a 34.
I know he uses the heck out of it, and always seems to be enjoying his boat.
It might not be the shiniest boat on the canal, but he is always out with it, and usually has a lot of people with him.
 
About Rinker:
I was told by a person that knew the Rinker family that they took huge pride in building their boats and they were pretty good boats. I was also told that once they sold the company the quality was not quite the same. I always liked their boats, I thought they were a very good value. I see the boat you are looking at is a 2006, I am not sure when the company changed hands, you may want to Google that. Of course, what I was told is just one mans opinion, Google the crap out of Rinker and the boat you are looking at, if there is any "real" problems it should show up in a Google search.

Im sure there is a place for the owners of rinker boats to keep in touch online. blank blank.

I know many boaters with Rinkers and its hard to find one that doesnt love there boat, Good Luck

Personally, I really like Searays but in the same breath hate them. The love is the detail and finish, the hate is the WTF, how do I service that! The value or the resale, really not sure about. I love my Silverton, but will tell you, I see the difference between a Silverton and a Searay.
 
I figured id get the Searay bashing going first. So we could move on to other brands... lol....

If I were to buy another boat????? 48 Dancer with the SHO cummins diesels .... That would cure me for life.....

Wow, nobody bit at that...

Would going up to the 48 with the SHO Cummins really be the end all? OR...would it just hold off until you were to see the 510 next to you? That's the real question...
 
48 would be the end all. I cant believe the crap searay is making now . Makes me ill. They had such great designs. Great storage . They screwed the pooch.

I haven't paid serious attention to their 40'+ line, but I'd agree with you on the 310-370 side as well (except the 370 Venture with Outboards). I'll assume that it's the same with their larger vessels.

Their design and layout has taken a shift in the wrong direction (just my personal opinion). I really like the 370 Venure and the Regal 35Sport Coupe. Neither are the last boat I'd ever own, but very nice for the size. However, right now it's probably not going to happen for this season, so I'm still going to look around and see what less expensive options there are

Bottom is painted. Boat was detailed today. Just a thru hull to put in and expect to splash mid next week.

Chomping at the bit.
 
Splashed Thursday and Spent today getting soaked in greenport , it felt great to be back on the boat ! I grave her a big hug !
