Yep, I got the last slip at Sterling Harbor & there is a wait list for it in case my deal falls threw!
 
Finished everything late yesterday, only 6 days past my target date, not too bad considering the lousy weather. Should be in by Tuesday.
Time to start on the 22 footer so we can get some fishing in, then on to the Bowrider.

They don't rent by the foot, each slip has it's own value.
My slip has a 60' floating finger so Im paying top dollar for my size boat.
That being said, i wouldn't want to be anyplace else and for me it's priceless

Took a short ride late yesterday afternoon between Tanner Park and the Venice Canal. No buoys out there. Guess the Town of Babylon thinks it’s still winter.
 
Had the sea trial yesterday and the boat seems to be a winner. Pulled the right RPM's at WOT doing 27Kts and looks like 1950 is the sweet spot for cruise doing 20-22knots. For a 18 yo boat it's in great shape! signed the acceptance and if all goes well will be bring it down to Greenport the 16th.
I'm stoked!

Coming back from FL mid-May. Maybe splash by holiday weekend.
 
I splashed this past Saturday.
Boat ran good. No issues.
Hit 36mph on WOT test.
Props were reconditioned.
 
Finally finished painting the bottom today (5/10). Splash set for Monday. I still need to attach the zincs and install the cotter pins on the prop shafts and open the cooling seacocks; but that should only take about an hour Monday morning. When they lift the boat and bring it to the splashing slip, I'll be able to touch up the bottom where the chocks were. Once I move to our slip, I'll do the tune up and cleaning to begin the season. Now, if the weather cooperates, all will be well.(Thunderstorm outside right now.) Have a safe and fun season, all. Hy
