Stainless bail over anchor roller?

The metal loop over my anchor roller is missing. It needs to be 3" wide(same as slot where anchor stock goes) and about 4" tall. I was thinking of checking with a metal working shop to have have one fabricated from 1/2" wide stock if I can't something already made up. Any suggestions welcome.

Good Luck with that! We had the same problem after our windlass was installed. Had a new hoop made & welded on. First time we went out it flew into the drink. Marina never did reimburse us for the lousy job and we made do without it. Hoping you do better.
 
Did you run two bolts horizontally into either side of the bail or did you bend the open end of the bail out at 90 degree angles?

could you locate a SS u-bolt online that fits the dimensions, and mount it?

I found a bail of approximate width that had an eyehole on each of the open ends. Then it was a simple matter to bend it to fit & then bolt the eyes with nylon washers to let the bail swivel.

P.S. Without the bail I had to be careful as the windlass would toss the 35 lb anchor up in the air.
