State of CA Delta derelict clean-up underway

Most of that footage was over on Fisherman Cut which is between Bradford Island and Webb Tract.

I recognize the floating home in the video. That was Fisherman's Cut, all right. It's been there for several years now along with some docks that showed up after the 2006 New Year's Eve storms and high water.

I'm glad something is getting cleaned up. The story says a ferry wrecked since WW2 was pulled out. I wonder if that's one the Big Break wrecks? Some wrecks have been around for so long that they are landmarks and have been on the charts for decades.

None of the junk on Fisherman's Cut ever appeared on the charts. That was supposedly a salvage operation but a lot of the junk never left the site.

A lot of that stuff is the collection of Mike Skarry, who operates a floating crane when he is sober enough to walk. But Mike never let sobriety set his schedule. He works when he needs cigarette money.

There is also a floating monster on the Sac, below Decker Island. Tied to that thing is another of Mike's cranes. They left the stuff there years ago, because they felt that the Sacramento River was a safer place to leave it than B.I.
This is a man who truely has no concern for any one or any thing else.

I believe FindMe ended that post with a dangling participle. Someone needs to correct him.
