Status of Watch Hill Improvements

No one really knows anything.. atleast in my circle ... I spoke with bruce .. he wasnt to sure...

So i guess we will see ...

Ill take a ride in two weeks peek inside...get bitched at by the park serivce...

Raise my hood tell em my flux capacitor is running hot .. should buy me some time ...

The dock they widened, is that the one by the restaurant? Did they widen the boardwalk towards shore or did they actually go out with the bulkhead? It was kind of tight in that basin to begin with.

I think the no bbqs on the docks make sense. They spend all that money on the new decking and someone is liable to melt it.

Someone said they moved the bulk head back a few feet on the east side of the resturant.... I got a hard time thinking thats true ... but they did move some polls so all the sail boat slips are gone...

I wonder if they will leave some day slips (on the east wall) for resturant customers only????
 
There are some photos on the the Friends of Watchill website, it does not look like they moved the bulkhead out rather increased the decking over where the grass formally was.

They have a slide show of the all the work posted but when I downloded it, windows media says I do not have the codec installed to play, anyone else have that?

I received a postcard from SS3/marinemax the other day announcing 2 trips they are planning, 1 is to whatchill for Mothers' day weekend.... It said limited to 25 boats.
 
Is the Watch Hill SS3 trip before the official WH opening day? I seem to recall last year it was around the 3 rd week or the week before Memorial Day weekend. Our group usually goes for the open and closing WH weekends.
 
It's the " Watch Hill Getaway " May 12 & 13. You must contact Gina at SS3/MM if you plan on going.

I do not know but somehow SS3/marinmax thinks I am a customer or wants me to be one that why I always get their mailings.
 
......call Gina Barnett at SS3......When I registered she told me SS3/MM CUSTOMERS ONLY...and they are putting a limit on how many boats will be allowed. Go figure. I'm with you....I agree it should be SEA RAY'S ONLY .......
 
Gentlemen: We should show some love for all boat owners no matter what brand even though we know Sea Rays are the best. :D

Don, Rob: it is definitely a SS3/MM thing for all boats not just sea rays but doesn't everyone own a sea ray?? [}:)]

Well if most people didn't own SeaRays.....boat mechanics would be like maytag repair men!

For all those "other" boat owners, maybe we will have our own party....Sailors Haven?

SeaRays are for panzies, I had a SeaRay once, then I grew up. :)

Walter... You mean they get the girls.... I was once at Mollys and just docked, the wife went down below to get somthing.. A few young ladies called out.... nice boat !! What kind is it, I said beaming it's a Sea Ray. My wife came back up and I got that look... you married guys know... "the look" [:-snooty]
