Well I made the best of a bust of a boating day. I took the family to Howe Caverns and had an nice time, bit of a drive but it was still a nice day. When a got home a friend called and invited us to a Boulders game. We had great front row seats right behind the plate. They had a record 6300 in attendance and the even won with a walk off home run.

B dock from Penny Bridge was there as well. Its nice having a stadium so close...

As close as it was it still took over an hour to get there due to traffic. They need to figure out a better system it was chaos but still a lot of fun.

The best seats I have ever sat in for any game.

I found no debris in NY Harbor and Raritan Bay. Did not see one log.

Water was green until we hit the Verrazano Bridge and then it turned brown. Nasty looking stuff.

Weather was great.

Ran down to the city to take the kids to see Mary Poppins. Not much of broadway type, but the show was really great. River was brown. Watched the tug boat races then tied up at 72nd Boat Basin. Lots of aligators in the water.

Lots of alligators in the water.

Can't say I've heard that one before:)

BTW if you enjoyed Mary Poppins there are actually some good shows that you might enjoy.

The Rondout turned brown (again) with the recent rains. At least most of the debris has been cleared out by Irene!

Are you saying that the water had cleared up for a bit? The Hudson has been brown since the storm I have seem little sign of improvement.

Saw an upside down Adirondack chair floating down the river Sun, followed by a blue 55-gallon drum.

All the debris is down by us...

Actually the Rondout went to it's usual murky somewhat green color for a day or so. Then we had some heavy rains Sunday evening. The creek is moving faster and has that mocha color again but it's nothing like that resultant from Irene. The outside of the face dock would be my choice if I was coming up here. Docking would be like that found along Sea Bright N.J. when the tide is running.

Damn, lost my Paddy-O furniture again! Was there a milk crate and old toilet bowl as well or did I lose only part of the set?

Just tell me if it was toluene in that drum and I'll give you back your chair!
