The ebay seller says that this boat is in the water at Stony Point. Is anyone familiar with it? I have a friend who may be interested and would appreciate any info available on boat or current owner.

I only see 1 boat within 10 miles of stony point and it's in verplank. Can you get a link or some details?
 
Looks like it is at stony point bay marina, not likely it is in the water.
 
Do you really want to own a boat like this? OMC Cobra 5.8's. I would not want to buy a hole in the water. Good boats are bad enough, but this........
 
This seems like a much better boat, I have seen if for sale on NYC Craigslist since fall. I seem to have a problem staying away from watching boat listings. It's got crusader inboards and seems to be well cared for.

Sounds fishy. The seller has a rating of (1) and that is buy a buyer with a rating of (1). On top of that who would leave a boat like that in the water till January unless they couldn't afford to remove it which means the engines are probably frozen. If it does, we have had a few cold weeks so far where things could have froze if it wasn't winterized or had a heater in the bilge. Maybe someone can swing buy to see if it even exists.

I'm hoping to get up there this weekend but I doubt that it is in the water. I think maybe they just reposted an ad from when it was warmer. The boat doesn't look familiar to me but I don't know every one there.
 
I had a friend that had that exact same boat (not that particular one but one just like it, same color and all) and it was a total PITA. he had nothing but problems with it ranging from wiring to plumbing to mechanical. No, it wasn't a matter of maintenance because he bought it new and sold it one year later. In the year he owned it, it was at the dealer more than it was int he water.

I have seen the boat in woodland park, the owner keeps it on the side of house if it's the same one. It has been out of the water for a few years.
 
Looks like a lot of oil in the bilge/engine pic.
Stan sr's boat is still for sale as far as I know.
They don't get much cleaner than that.

I just noticed it says item located in
Boca Raton, FL, United States something wrong with this add. I really don't believe it is in the water at least not in Stony Point maybe it really is in Boca. Home port says New City and it looks like Stony Point Bay to me. I would keep looking.
 
The picture is from Stony Point Bay Marina but the boat definitely is not in the water there.

That's where I saw it I know the name was familiar, now I remember it. I walked the docks before picking my slip, the pictures are old pictures.
 
Jim, I'm not sure what year his is either, but I think he was asking 11 or 12.
I do know it's stored in doors, so it could be seen.
