NY just announced that they're going to have another "art exhibit" similar to the red gates they did last year. Apparently it involves installing scaffolding and pumps in the East River and making four waterfalls. Sounds like a once-in-a-lifetime, so it looks like I'll be going down around the Battery and up the East River to the Sound!
 
Supposed to be setting up this spring for summer display. don't know for how long, it was a quick story on NPR. I'll post more if I get more info
 
I would keep Execution Light to my right. There is a large rock formation that comes off of it.

Jeff, that's Stepping Stones, you can pass Execution on either side.
 
You are right! My mistake moving to Florida and boating 12 months a year makes you forgetful of things up north.
I hope everybody in the HRCC has a short winter and a great 2008 boating season! LICC too!

Yeah the water hits you so hard it rolls the boat thus cleaning the bottom also.
