Stony Point Waterfront development

Steven is in Limbo, Butch? Sounds like my son...

Thanks for the replies, guys. I got and responded to Mike's reply, but Butch's I never got. I was wondering because a few times in the past I emailed Les too and he never responded either. I was beginning to get a bit self-conscious!!!

As for the Stony Point stuff, damn, now I know why I like Kingston so much. Except that sooner or later some developer will try and do the same thing up there I'm sure...

Ginsberg is a dirty SOB. Him and his lawyers aproached me to buy my property on 202 by the graveyard. They just kept saying yes, yes, yes on the negotiating, but would never return the contracts (and a check). They even had the mayor convinced he should tell me to sell to them, and I grew up with his daughter so assumed I could trust him. They kept avoiding my lawyer and me for months, and then their lawyer finally called back and said, "No thank you, click."

I have since sold (at a lower number) and moved out of Haverstraw, and moved up to Cornwall. I hate it here, but the houses in North Rockland are ridiculously over priced, and what used to be reasonable taxes, has now been elevated and is unstable.

I blame local goverment for sitting back and letting these corporations walk all over the peaple that lived there lives here. Ginsberg will make all sorts of promises, and give the warm and fuzzy feeling, and then what.

Now off my soap box and into bed!

I think the tenant of the marinas(boat slip rents) should go to this workshop meeting 730 pm at rho building.

Your shooting straight from the hip king5899, I like that and I also agree with you. I cannot understand why anyone would believe for one second that Ginsberg has anyones best interests at heart other than his own. He is just looking to propel himself to "Trump standing". I've been to his Harbors project and I have to say, I just don't get it. Its so tight, so many people living on top of people in such a small area, for me, that is just an awful way to live. I know some people enjoy that way of living, maybe it attracts city people because I suppose for them its a step up to "country living", but I often read in the papers what a success it is. Local people and the fact that there are lots & lots of vacancies say something else.

I do not feel anyone has a right to tell anyone else what to do with their property, unless it negativly affects others, and building condos where the marinas are now would certainly have a negative impact on local boaters, but more importantly those of us who call Stony Point home. I can't believe that with the Mirant fiasco skyrocketting our taxes a condo project that would put even further strain on our infrastucture would even be entertained. The women from Belle Harbor who said in the paper that she wanted to do something to "help the town"...is she kidding??? I want some of what she smokes so I too can go through life playing make believe!

Ok.. So I guess Wanye Corts has purchased SPBM (that 2 of 4 in his possesion). It only a matter of time now...
