Last December I was interested in buying a boat here in Florida and not having any experience with the size of boat ( app 29 ft) I hired a surveyor to inspect the vessel. I purchased the boat and since then have discovered many missed expensive repairs. The last might require repower due to corrision. The surveyor made up a nice looking inspection report and told us the boat only required $300.00 in repair at that time. Does any one have any knowledge of a negligent surveyor being sued and a boat owner recovering damages?
Thanks,
