Nice shot Mike. We enjoyed it with the folks on the main dock at RYB. Today we did Norwalk. The weather and traffic cooperated nicely and we got on what we wanted to without hassel.
We sum up boat prices like this; The larger boats are not reasonably priced and the smaller boats are way over priced hoping to grab what profit they can since no one wants the fuel bill. But no one is buying the smaller ones either since they look at the larger boats for a bit more and ask WTF? The Regulator line had a nice 28 with twin Yammies. Looked good on the outside. Cheap crap inside. Really pricey too.
Lets face it a 30+ Carver Mariner for 350k and gas engines is going to sit a while.
I think they seriously went the wrong direction with pricing and style. They all seemed to follow this new modern contemporary look on the interiors that will be out out of style in two years. I thought the pricing was also a joke. I'm glad I'm not in the market right now. I don't know what they're thinking.
Dave we saw nothing worthwhile. Sure if you have infinite cash and don't care, but nothing that looked good. Boat show prices were still out of line IMHO.
