Hiya,
Yesterday I swapped out the tiny 2.2-gal porta-potti for the larger 5 gallon "holding tank" version. We have the pp attached to a pump-out valve on the outside of the boat.
The potential problem is that the openings on the lower portion of the pp are about 2-3" higher than the openings on the smaller pp that was previously there.
I had to stretch the drain pipe a bit to get it to sit on the pp vent; and it's not as well seated as it was on the smaller unit.
Also, there is a smaller vent pipe (I assume for venting gas, or allowing air in when suctioning the tank out?) that now is not a straight run up and out of the pp, but kinks a bit over the larger pipe and then runs down slightly to the side of the boat.
(I have no idea if this is making sense to anyone reading this; if not I apologize for running on & on...).
Should I be concerned about the air vent being not a straight shot out of the boat?
Thanks very much,
Keith
