This is my first post of what I am sure will be many. (I joined, but have not heard back so I am not able to search). I have a 1986 mercruiser 3.0 (140 horse) with a cracked block (purchased off e-bay knowing this) in a 195 four winns Horizon. I am looking at a 1988 mercruiser 2.5 (120 horse). Can this engine switch in easily? I am thinking the slight loss in power will not be a big deal.
