It seems one or both of my tachometers will "drift" at times, one more than the other. I have calibrated them as well as the electronic synchronizer which ultimately is tied to the tachometers with a common feed. The synchronizer at times will read correctly as will the tachometers.
I have replaced and cleaned all connections at the dash end as well as the coil end. Same problem.
My question is this; can a bad tachometer or two affect the reading on the electronic engine synchronizer? I am going to replace instruments, if I can determine the synchronizer is not bad, I will simply replace the dash tachometers. Otherwise I will go for a combination unit whereby one instrument replaces them all and includes fuel monitor.
