Anybody have thoughts on the best place to anchor to watch the parade of ships on sunday? If the airshow was any example, it should be a total Zoo. I've been looking at the charts of the area, not many coves/achorages by the looks of it. A lot of water depth right up to shore both north and south of the NP bridge. Would like to stay up near the northern end of the procession as it rounds Gould Island.

Wow, I went down there with the family on Sunday. I stayed about 10 minutes and left. It was like boating in a bathtub full of splashing children. Wakes coming from every direction, no good anchorage. I just headed for potters cove. Kids didn't seem to care. We were with a sailboat. They were getting tossed around too. One of their crew got sea-sick. The tall ships didn't even show up on time. Parade was supposed to start at 12:30. At 1:30 no boats could be seen under the NP bridge.

Yes, it was a zoo. Anchored close to shore at Jamestown just north of bridge, trying to get away from the mess. Still bounced around a bit, but I was too far away for good viewing of tall ships. After ships went north of the bridge, pulled anchor and trolled around with everyone else to get a closer view. Enjoyed the views, but way too busy.
