What exactly do you do if for whatever reason you're 15 miles out and snap off a pvc pipe for the raw water system?
I'm assuming you wouldn't know it for at least a few minutes by noticing the bilge pump not stopping, OR worse, stern down attitude in the boat at which point it may be too late.
Stuff a rag in the pipe and head for land; any land?
I know PVC gets rigid over time and being in the Northeast with a boat stored outside, in 5 degree weather for 4 months doesn't make me feel all warm and fuzzy.
Has anyone had a raw water washdown plumbing issue while out?
