The clock is ticking!

I have to regroup down there and call you in.

It's been too damn cold down there, we do not heat the 350,000 space and once the concrete gets cold it's like an ice box in there.

We are remodeling one of the offices, once that is done my building engineer will be free to meet with us.

Was down at the marinas today and walked to my slip. Docks were still frozen in place. We may have to chop some ice if we want to get in by April 1.

I'm thinking april 15. They probably won't have the water on the dock on or the bathrooms open until then.

I think HM has more damage than in Sandy. The silver portion of blue dock is missing many floats from underneath. Last year we complained when there was ONE missing, when I walked on the dock yesterday it felt like many were missing.

I agree with your assessment. I drove through the marinas yesterday and believe Haverstraw has more work ahead of them than any other by far. There is a lot of damage where ice took over docks and many are still frozen in place. I suspect that since they are more protected then most of the others, they have less water flowing through with any speed causing more icing. Until this melts, there is not much they can do. Its going to be a difficult start to the season.

If we are lucky, this cold just will not let up!

How would this be lucky?

LOL Proper Punctuation makes all the difference in the world.

Didn't know we are getting graded on posts, if we are alot of people will be failing class. If you check back to posts I was replying to Pocket Change's post

Two years ago when we had a warm winter I went in march 14. Last year it was 4/9. A few years ago I wasn't in until the end of april. Much to cold, rainy and windy to go in any sooner then. This is shaping up be a late year also.

If we were being graded I would have failed years ago! I just wasn't sure what you meant by your comment.

As for the season getting shorter this year it's looking this way. Maybe the season will last longer, one can dream!

Actually my self and Dave were going to start a spelling and gramer class for BE members, we are so annoyed by all the spelling mistake other people make, we got to fix it OUR WAY! Lol.

Sorry Winters Remedy. I meant that jokingly. As it was written with the comma it reads as you wrote if we are lucky we will get more cold weather. If a period was used instead it makes the sentence entirely different. Kind of like the old joke of: Let's eat, Grandma vs. Let's eat Grandma. Sorry if you took offense.

Back to the weather. More snow mix expected here for early next week. I was going to take the shrink wrap off this weekend as I am moving my boat to its new home next weekend. If I am not out of my marina by 1 April I have to pay $600 for an additional week or $1200 for an additional month. I will have TowBoats take it to the new slip before I pay that. So hoping it warms up and stops frickin snowing!!!
