I've been waiting for someone to post a countdown clock. I have tried but I can't either find one that works or I simply don't know how to post it currently so that it opens without clicking a link. What am I doing wrong.

I tried to add this to my profile but it doesn't work.

I've tried to add the img /img in [ ] before and after but I just got the error you see above, I guess it needs to be a jpeg for this to work.
It's the simple things in life that frustrate me.

Brought Hogan over to Patsy's Bay for winter storage. It should be hauled on Monday.

You mean your still in? Watch you head when you measure your draft.

Mike,

The lift at Pennybridge too small?

Mike and Jimmy are good guys, you will be fine over there.

Went to my boat after the parade at 4pm, salon was 73 degrees under the wrap. Nice. I really like wintering in the water.

Wow so many things to respond to:

Carver how did you do that? that's the one I created. I tried everything and could not get it to work. What was the trick to get it to open?

Rommer thanks I've been waiting for you to post this. Only I go in on the 15th or there about.

Mike I Missed the fact that you said Patsy Bay what are you doing there? Did you think that all Trojans should stick together. Where are they putting you It would have been funny if we were all together.

I'm not so sure that mine will work though...Find out tommorrow...If it doesn't change tommorrow, it's going to be a LLOOONNNNGGGG winter...
If it works I'll tell you how I did it...No sence in giving you wrong info untill we see...

We will be out in 2 to 3 weeks. This will be the last year. Heading south at the end of next summer nothing like year round boating and lower taxes. I'm done with the "blue" Northeast states, well we will be back every summer. Thats the only way I could get my wife to agree to the move.

Year round boating sounds great to me I"m not sure I could afford it, but it sounds good. Actually you got my thinking, if I don't have to winterize the boat and shrink wrap maybe it wouldn't be that much more. OK I'm in I retire in about 20 years or so, sounds like a plan. If your still down there maybe I'll join you.

Rommer what format did you use? because I tried to post using the site that you used and no matter what format I try it doesn't open the best I can do is create a link.

Not to rub it in, (to bad), but it is going to a balmy 73 degrees in Myrtle Beach today. We are going to take a ride to Barefoot Landing, about 20 miles north on the ICW for lunch.

Dave; Year round boating in Myrtle Beach is cheaper than summer slip plus winter land in NY.

The lift at PennyBridge is too narrow. Next year I might keep in the water for the winter.

That's what you get for buying a beast. I have concerns with my bottom paint not sticking I don't think I would be comfortable staying in the water until I straighten out this problem.
I guess I will be seeing you there.
As for you Pete I'm happy to hear you are enjoying yourself if I'm lucky someday I will do the same. Unless I hit Lotto it looks like I will be working for many years to come. I'm 44 retirement is in the distant future. For the moment I have to dream.

84 here in Palm Coast today, year round boating is the only way to go.

Why wait 20 years to retire?

While I agree with the year round boating in warm weather. The problem is being able to pay for it in other areas.

Some of us have friends, family and jobs here in NY that we can't just leave.

When the time comes, we're selling our residence and moving onto the boat, where we'll follow the sunshine.

One of my plans is to do the Great Circle loop, then spend winters down south and summers up north.

Hogan you are right. Also I don't think I could stand the heat and humidity in the summer. We have a son living in Naples the last 8 years and he complains about the heat. In the summer he takes 3 clean T shirts to work every day. He changes every 2 hours. That's why his wife and kids go to her sister's in Toms River NJ for a while in the summer. Florida is great in the winter. We go down for 2 1/2 months and it is real nice. We trailer the boat down with us. By March we want to get home to the mountains and the river and our house and the rest of the family here.

Being a snowbird sounds great to me. But I have years to think about it and save.
