The Granary (Georgetown, MD)

Word on the street and from a good source is that The Granary on the Sassafras River in Georgetown is closing it doors for good next month. Just a guess here but it seems the owners are putting all their efforts into the Kitty Knight House on the other side of the river. Shame... I always enjoyed The Granary.

I was told it was the other way around. Georgetown is looking to sell the Kitty. Either way, we go to both so it will be a shame.

That is sad,
Well I heard that the covered sheds at G-Town have been condemned. However G-Town and the Granary has the same owner.

Looks like its being advertised as a seasonal closing. They never did this before so we can only hope that it reopens as ststed.

WaterDog, yes the sheds by the drawbridge have been condemmed. The other covered shed by the travel lift is fine, built extremely stout.
Of course J dock is gone so there are only 2 others by the bridge now.
